I haven't ever introduced myself properly here, and to be honest, I rarely show my face as I'd rather show you flowers. So here goes: Hi, I'm Rosie from Maytrees Garden!

I started this small business years ago while working as a florist, growing beautiful, different, and romantic blooms for our floristry. I have a background in botany and ecology, horticulture and landscape architecture so it was a natural jumping point.

Maytrees has stuck with me in various incarnations through 3 children (this is my daughter Aster above 💜). Growing flowers has always brought me joy and today I run Maytrees Garden to provide a source of local spray free flowers, and to help others to grow and arrange their own blooms through our blog, workshops and small perennial cut flower nursery. If you have found my account, stick around to share the flower love ❤️.

Thanks all, now I'm off to hide in the garden again,

Rosie.

Honestly stoked with this beautiful patch of Lunaria annua (aka honesty hehe). I can't wait for the gorgeous moon shaped papery seed pods 😍. A biennial, it has taken many tries to get the timing right, but planting out seedlings in early summer seems to be the go! It is always frustrating when what grows as a w**d is tricky to hit right for perfect cropping lol.

There's something about spring blooms that this seasonal florist can't get enough of! Maybe it's the seasonality of them - a once a year deal 🤍. Maybe it is that they are softer and best as locally grown flowers 😉. Who cares.....just look at them!
