Artists in Tauranga recently took a creative response to comment on the City Council's Long Term Plan, which proposes steep rental increases for community groups, and a 'user pays' approach to charging for access to community spaces.

Last weekend's BOP Open Studios art trail was a huge success, with visitors from around the country (including one Auckland attendee who visited 50 of the 80+ artists!) enjoying the behind-the-scenes experience into our local artists' studios and processes.⁠

The CBOP team loved doing the trail - local photographer Jess Lowcher came along and took these fantastic shots.

Congratulations to the fabulous organising team and each and every one of the participating artists - we can't wait to see this become a regular event!
