🎂 NEW COOKIDOO® COLLECTION ALERT! 🎂
As many of you know, cake decorating is where my journey started with Kiwicakes, and it's my first love. Thermomix is my other love.
So when I saw that Cookidoo® has released a collection featuring some of the iconic Women's Weekly Celebration Cakes, I couldn't wait to share it!
Who remembers these classics? The cakes that made childhood birthdays unforgettable and had everyone gathered around the table to admire them before cutting the first slice.
Now you can recreate three of these much-loved cakes with your Thermomix® and Cookidoo® at home:

What I love most about Thermomix® is that it helps bridge the gap between everyday home baking and creating something truly special. Whether you're making buttercream, ganache, cake batters, fillings, curds, jams, fondant accessories, or entire celebration cakes, the precision and consistency make a huge difference.
As someone who has spent years teaching cake decorators, I'm still amazed at how much easier Thermomix® makes the jobs that used to take the longest!

Today I made the sous-vide pork loin from Cookidoo
You will need the sous-vide bags and the blade cover peeler from The Mix Shop. As well as a vacuum sealer, to seal the bags. Trust me it’s ridiculously easy!
The pork looked kinda the same in the bags prior to cooking, as well as after cooking. It was browned off in a pan right before serving. It’s a low stress way to serve a WOW dinner, as I made the marinade and vac-sealed these yesterday and popped them in to my TM7 at 2pm today.
As the weather is cooler here today, I placed the piece of pork loin whole on the plate rather than cutting it, so it didn’t get cold too fast. Totally reccomend, absolutely delicious. pork

Yesterday i was doing a second trial for a chocolate chip cornflake cookie recipe I’ve developed
To my horror I found the baking powder empty
No problem with the baking powder recipe from Cookidoo - in to the Thermomix bowl with 50g rice, grind on speed 10 in to rice flour. Add cream of tartar and baking soda. And voila the baking powder container was restocked in 5 minutes. Faster than a trip to the shops
With a couple of tweaks to my cookies on the second trial. My recipe was a success
As a side note I LOVE my Thermomix chopping board, that bends in the middle to deliver my chocolate chunks in to the bowl. Available at The Mix Shop

When you’re late to the dinner prep Thermomix has got you
Soba noodles with endamame beans and a yummy dipping sauce
I cheated and didn’t fry my own chicken, due to time constraints. But I did steal the gochugang sauce from the Korean fried chicken recipe. (Rangitikei does sell chicken with a similar sauce but I give their sauce a 2/10 compared to mine)
Yes I did eat my dinner with chopsticks (I enjoy using them).

🥕🍐 Tonight’s dinner was inspired by a couple of beautiful finds at Costco — vibrant baby carrots and gorgeous red pears.
The carrots were wrapped in prosciutto and cooked using the maple glazed carrots recipe from Cookidoo 🤍 The leftover glaze was too good to waste, so I turned it into a dressing with extra olive oil, champagne vinegar, and fresh lemon juice for a rocket, pear, blue cheese & walnut salad 🥗✨
And because real life after work calls for balance… the chicken Kyiv was happily store bought 😅👏
Simple touches, clever use of leftovers, and dinner done ✔️

I have an event on Thursday so I made Chloe’s caramel fudge from Cookidoo
However I felt it needed a glow-up
So its edible pixie dust from Kiwicakes for the win!
This was a 2-tone glitter. It was much prettier to the naked eye. Than I could catch in a photo
