“Lord, you alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing.”
— Psalm 16:5
Looking back, I don’t have a property to my name. Not even a proof of billing. And I don’t have any inheritance to speak of. But by the grace of God, I have something I treasure deeply: peace of mind. The kind of peace that lets me sleep at night, knowing that God is for me and not against me.
This photo was taken the other day when I went out early to cover an event. I shampooed my hair with Moringa-O2, skipped the conditioner, brushed it once, and went to the event with wet hair. I honestly didn’t mind.
Maybe this is one of the little ways I’ve changed through the years. I no longer feel the need to fuss over every little thing. I’m learning to keep life simple, to be content with what I have, and to let go of things that don’t really matter.
So, this is me lately—natural hair that I cut myself, literally washed and worn, and somehow, it took care of itself. 😄 No makeup, too, just sunblock.
I may not have much in terms of worldly inheritance, but I have been given so much grace, peace, and assurance. And for that, I am deeply grateful.
God is good.🙏 Happy Sunday, everyone!
