Sharing a glimpse of my long-lost creative side.
___________
My Life Has Been an Open Door
So many poets share their flame,
It takes me back—I did the same.
When I was young, with heart so wide,
I let the world look deep inside.
I felt each thought, I wrote it down,
A dreamer lost, then sometimes found.
Emotions new, and life so grand,
Still learning how to understand.
But time moved on, and I stood still,
A quiet room the world could fill.
The doors were open, wide and bare,
For souls to wander, stop, or stare.
Some said hello, then walked away,
Not every heart is meant to stay.
I once held tight to those I knew,
But learned what "letting go" was, too.
And though the dark would sometimes call,
I found myself again through every fall.
Now Peace walks in, not Loud or Grand—
Just gently takes me by the hand.
