From bushy to bonsai 🌿
My jade (Portulacaria afra) was getting leggy, so I took it back to its bones. Scary cuts, big payoff.

🌱Prune just above a leaf pair or node, since new branches sprout from there.
🌱Use clean, sharp shears, and never remove more than about a third at once.
🌱Let cut ends callus before watering heavily.
🌱Give it bright light afterward to keep the new growth compact.
🌱Trim in the growing season, when it recovers fastest.
🌱Save the clippings, because jade roots easily from cuttings.
