I hate drawing backgrounds but really, it adds more storytelling to the scene so there, let’s just do it more. 🤣 I am also playing more often with camera angles and perspectives of human anatomy to step away from boring poses and dull scenes.
When coloring my digital artworks I often use individual colors for the shadows and highlights but just recently, I stumbled upon a simpler approach to achieving those effects. I experimented with color techniques, multiply, and overlay layers to emphasize more on shadows, lighting, and add visual drama/effects. It worked, I guess?
