“There are so many problems in the country that you could solve if you really wanted to. You’ve already seen the evidence, yet you keep avoiding the issues. First, your flood control projects — even when the problems are right in front of you, you choose to turn a blind eye. Oil prices keep increasing, yet there are no concrete solutions, and there are many other issues as well.
Where are those people who used to fight against corruption? Where are they now? They’ve become silent about these issues because they also have their own agendas. I can no longer see true Filipinos who genuinely care for their fellow Filipinos. Money and power have become your gods. You forget that all of these will eventually disappear. Even the most powerful person cannot escape death.
All of us will face the one Almighty God. He owns our lives, and He alone will decide our fate. But that will depend on what we have done here on earth. What is truly painful is the second death, where no one can save us. I hope people — especially those with money and power — will think about that. Do not forget that we cannot bring wealth or power with us to the grave.”
