Benefits of an ICF walled house: 1. It is bulletproof due to the total thickness of an ICF wall totaling at least 10 inches with a 5 inch solid concrete core wall wrapped around on both sides by a 2 inch EPS on both sides plus the outer layer on both sides of drywall then patching and painting; 2. Heat proof and cold proof - EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) is the material used to keep the cold in freezers, refrigerators, and ice chests. Having two sheets of 2-inch thick EPS on your walls and ceilings is like turning your house into an ice chest that effectively keeps the heat out and keeps the cold air from your air conditioner from leaking out. This is the best way to keep your rooms cool and save on your air conditioner since it will no longer be overworked since it will now only work on the heat coming from the occupants of the rooms.; 3.
