A Proposed Design Concept of a "KANDILAAN"

A scaled maquette presents the concept in its barest form. Rooted in the symbolic notion of the Holy Trinity, the three primary structural elements embody the gesture of the Sign of the Cross, while the central pedestal represents the Holy Spirit as the heart of the space.

PROJECT COMPLETE.

From concept sketches to the final installation, every detail of this tabernacle was carefully studied and crafted with purpose. Designed to embody simplicity and reverence, the form was translated into a timeless piece that serves its sacred function.

Special thanks to Sir Dionryl and team of Borderline Modular Cabinets and Construction Services-Dumaguete City, for creating such a beautiful piece of art. Seeing the design come to life is both a privilege and a reminder that thoughtful architecture is made possible through collaboration, trust, and careful ex*****on.

"A PROPOSED PRAYER ROOM" (INTERIOR FIT-OUT)

At the heart of the space is the proposed Tabernacle, serving as the spiritual focal point of the prayer room. The design draws inspiration from the Archbishop's "mitre", whose two pointed arches symbolize the Old and New Testaments.

The space however, was intentionally guided by the desire to create a lasting design that feels grounded in faith, inviting worship, essentially freeing one self from worldly distractions. A place designed for contemplation, and silence.

Situated at the heart of Dumaguete City, the design explores a calming approach to healthcare interiors through the use of warm, muted tones, soft lighting, and gentle architectural curves. The Reception and Treatment spaces are carefully planned to enhance patient comfort. Maintaining clear circulation and efficient clinical operation. Essentially, softening the conventional clinical aesthetic.

Through a collaborative effort with the client the project aims to create an environment that fosters trust, relaxation, and a positive patient experience.

A small footprint transformed into a minimal and elegant retreat. Integrated cabinetry extends storage capacity while maintaining a cohesive visual language. This project allowed subtle contrasts of light and dark tones, bringing depth and refinement that elevate the space while preserving its intended function.
