THE BANANA PARTY STARTS TODAY! Slow Food Community Dumaguete presents SAGING ORIENTAL: THE BANANA PARTY on 29 August 2026 at the Arts and Design Collective Dumaguete [ IG: ], celebrating the heritage bananas of Negros Oriental. Through food, art, writing, and local knowledge, the event recognizes the farmers, vendors, cooks, families, and communities who continue to grow, prepare, remember, and share these varieties. Expect a banana-tasting table, banana-based food and drinks, a small banana exhihibit exploring local varieties and their many uses, local food and products, and other activities built around the many kinds of saging found across the province.
