💡 Here's what most people don't realise: the quality of a furniture finish is decided by the base coat, not the topcoat.

Wood and MDF aren't flat — grain, pores and joint lines all have texture. A topcoat is thin and simply follows whatever is underneath. If grain shows through your gloss finish, that's a base coat issue, not a topcoat one.
