My sister asked me to paint this for her, and I did. I just never got the chance to place it in her hands. Before I could, she lost her memory, slipped into a coma, and returned to Allah.

Winter magic on a canvas. ✨

​I loved playing with the contrast in this piece—the dark, moody cabin versus the bright, inviting light of the lantern. It’s amazing how a little bit of yellow can completely change the temperature of a painting.
