Partial partition wall for a kids room, they want their own privacy so decided on a partial partition and have their beds either side of it. I was please they wanted a wooden wall 🙂 Just waiting for all the edge trimmings to dry and I'll sand and paint this. There was no plasterboard or insulation as this is in the middle of the room

They aren't going to win any architectural awards, and if a safety inspector walks in, I might have to pretend I’ve never seen them before. But they do the job!
I managed to clear out a massive pile of scrap wood and an old pallet, and turned it all into functional storage space.
Let's just call it a "unique rustic-industrial design concept" and pretend it was entirely intentional. 🪵😎

The most important part of making floating crosses to spin flawlessly without that annoying wobble? Apart from a well balanced cross!
It all comes down to absolute precision when drilling.To get that perfectly balanced, smooth spin, you need to align all four holes dead center and perfectly in line:
1️⃣ The top two holes – for the magnets that provide the floating tension.
2️⃣ The bottom cross hole – to completely hide the hook for your concealed fishing line.
3️⃣ The frame's bottom hole – to cleanly feed the line through.If even one of these holes is slightly off-center, the balance breaks, and the cross will wobble instead of spinning freely.!

Cross and frame made from pine dimensions follow a 1:3 ratio. I drilled a 10mm hole in the top of the cross and frame for the 10mm cylinder magnets. A 10mm hole in the bottom of the cross for the threaded eyehook to attach the line, then a 4mm hole in the base to feed the line through and attach underneath to hold the cross in place.
