☕️ A Special Visit & The Living Art of Hagi-yaki Ware

We are still incredibly inspired after welcoming Tanaka San Japanese Tea & Hagiyaki Life | TANAKA 🇯🇵 from NL to the 2Cookinn Atelier! Thank you so much for visiting our space and connecting with our community.

We are delighted to celebrate the magic of Hagi-yaki ware (萩焼). Hailing from Yamaguchi, Japan, this legendary tea pottery is famous for its soft clay and fine glaze cracks (kannyu).

As you use it, tea oils slowly seep into these cracks, beautifully changing the color of the ceramic over time. In Japan, this living transformation is called “the seven changes of Hagi” (Hagi no nanabenge)—making each piece a reflection of the time you spend with it.

Moments like this are exactly why we love opening our doors to share passion, craft, and new links.
