Second hand för alla väder! 🌦️

Den här veckan har vi letat efter den typ av plagg som faktiskt fungerar när vädret slutar samarbeta.

Toggi, Puffa, Tenson, Haglöfs, Musto och fler! Namn med lång historia inom outdoor-världen, valda för sin pålitlighet, sina material och de där detaljerna som gör ett plagg värt att behålla. 🪴

Men en bra outdoor-garderob behöver inte alltid betyda att man klär sig för en expedition.

Vi har blandat upp med vardagliga byxor, stickat och enkla lager, tillsammans med några lite skarpare plagg som binder ihop helheten. Något för promenaden, något för helgen, något du kan slänga på över nästan vad som helst.

Resultatet är en rail byggd kring bra plagg, användbara lager och lite utrymme för personlig stil. Redo för vad än prognosen har planerat!

Second-hand clothing for whatever the weather brings! 🌦️

This week, we went looking for the kind of clothing that makes sense once the weather stops cooperating.

Toggi, Puffa, Tenson, Haglöfs, Musto and more! Names with a history in the outdoors, chosen for their reliability, materials and the details that make a piece worth keeping. 🪴

But a good outdoor wardrobe doesn’t always have to mean dressing for an expedition. We’ve mixed in everyday trousers, knitwear and easy layers, alongside a few sharper pieces to bring everything together. Something for the walk, something for the weekend, something you can throw on over almost anything.

The result is a rail built around good clothes, useful layers and a little room for personal style. Ready for whatever the forecast has planned!

Some things become more valuable with time…

When we asked which possessions people would never replace, the answers weren’t the most expensive things they owned.

They spoke about a toy car, an old mug, a tatty rucksack, a patinated tin, handwritten notes.

Objects that have been held, worn, used, carried and passed on. Things that have quietly collected emotions and memories along the way.

Perhaps that’s what makes something truly worth keeping. Not what it cost, but what it has come to mean.

And the things that mean the most are often the ones most deserving of repair, restoration and when they are ready, we at Nord Bound will carry them on to a new home. You might be the person to give them a new chapter, so come and pay us a visit! We are open 11:00-17:00 Tuesday - Sunday 🕰️

Some finds are less about what they’re worth, and more about the questions they leave behind. A little Loppis find that somehow turned into an experience.

This unopened tin of Gevalia Espresso Brygg appeared to date from the mid-1990s. The photography, recipes on the back and early EAN-13 barcode all place it somewhere in that era.

Still sealed. Still under vacuum. And then came the question: do we open it?

A couple visiting the shop gave us the answer: “Don’t die curious.” So… we opened it.

Thirty years later, the coffee was surprisingly drinkable. Brewed as an Americano, it was actually not bad, although, if I’m honest, I half expected it to taste like a cupboard.

It had that deep, slightly bitter espresso flavour espresso is supposed to have and, most importantly, no unhappy stomach afterwards!

Do I want more finds like this in Future? Absolutely. Would I recommend keeping 30-year-old coffee in your cupboard? Probably not. ☕️
