I love cooking.
I used to do it for a living.
I've only been a gardener
for about 12 years.
Not so stressful.
Cooking is still like therapy for me though, even if it's just for myself.
So I tend to batch cook.
Or give it away.
For busy people it can be more stressful than therapeutic of course,
so if you want to make
some weekend comfort food that will last for the next few days, here are some ideas for you, that are very easy and quick to make. Can be frozen.
Some would call it cheating.
I call it time management.
Buy a ready made chicken
The ones you buy, ready to eat, are already seasoned. Saves time and electricity.
Or if you insist, buy the raw parts of chicken you prefer.
On the bone is best.
If you're making the Lasagne, shred the chicken.
The sauce...
Make a basic Roux and season it with what you like.
Or! Buy packets!
So quick and they are often
tasier than the ones you spend hours on making!
No way I make Bearnaise
myself!
Any pasta.
The greens in the Lasagne can be skipped.
I use frozen broccoli or spinach.
Mushrooms you can buy
already chopped.
I love foraging for them!
Not reckommended if you can't tell the difference between a sep and
an Amanita! 🍄🟫🍄
Australia..Just saying..☠️
Prepare your dish.
Takes half an hour?
Put it in a slow oven
and relax. Eat later.
Have a nice weekend! ❣️
