The heat lately has been relentless. Even sitting still at home without AC leaves one drenched in sweat. Nights are worse. Sleeping without AC feels like lying on a heated mattress with endless tossing, turning, and waking up in damp pyjamas.

What's more worrying is that this may not even be the worst of it. Every time we turn the AC colder and run it longer, we're feeding the very cycle that created this problem.

If temperatures continue to rise, stepping outdoors under the midday sun could one day feel like walking into an oven. We may eventually need specialized protective clothing just to cope with extreme heat. Increased UV exposure will also bring greater risks of skin damage and skin cancer.

Climate change is no longer a warning about the future. It is a bill that has started arriving, and humanity is finally being asked to pay it now!
