Brahma Gyaan Ramleela Group Ramleela is a Play of the Story of Ram. A King had four sons named Ram, Lakshman, Bharat and Satrughan by his three wives. The eldest son was called Ram.

When Ram married a lovely princess called Sita the old King decided to give up the throne and let his son take over. His third wife was very jealous. She wanted the throne for her Son. A long time before, the King's life had promised her two wishes. She decided that it was time to claim her wishes so she told the King and that she wanted Ram to be sent away for fourteen years and her own son Bhara

t to have the throne. The King was very upset. He knew he could not live without his son but Ram obeyed the Queen’s orders. Ram and Sita together with Lakshman went off to the forest where a wicked demon King Ravana lived. Bharat did not want the crown, but he had looked after it until Ram came back. While living in the forest, Ram killed many demons. One day King Ravan lured Ram & Lakshman away from Sita and disguised himself kidnapped Sita. He took her away to his land. It took Ram a long time to find her, with the help of the monkey King: Hanuman, and all the monkeys they found Sita and the evil King Ravana was killed. After the fourteen years were over they all returned home. There was a huge celebration. Everybody rejoiced, they lit candles and lamps to celebrate and this marks the end of Ramleela and is also one of the many reasons why we celebrate Divali.
