2025 第十八屆 TID獎 居住空間-微型

“A Traveler’s Hut”
「旅人之屋」

第一次以微型居住空間獲獎。

事實上，不論空間大小，設計的每一道程序都少不了。尤其在條件更爲嚴苛的情況下，要把各類需求與環境現況融合的不著痕跡，這過程中的掙扎，都隱藏在每一個緊密牽動的公釐之間。

此時，設計是否能有效提升空間品質，屋主的理念往往是關鍵。能捨，方能得。

在此分享一個有趣的觀念：「若能創造一條走不完的路徑，空間感會在不知不覺中被放大。」

YL Apartment 《達摩窟》近期被收錄在西班牙出版商Loft Publications 所出版的 “LIVING HAPPY IN THE CITY”。

去年，西班牙的編輯來信邀稿，希望我提供一個位於城市中的住宅空間作品，並寫一段話來描述作品所座落的城市。

選作品前，我先從構思台北的描述開始：

「台北是一個密集、多元且被山包圍的城市。你以為身處在現代都市中，但可能在轉角就會彎進巷中的傳統市集，或發現深入山林的步道。」

寫完後，我選了此案，因為它反應了這段描述的特色，台北的其中一種特色。

KOA Apartment《永恆的十年》近期收錄於比利時 Beta-Plus Publishing 所出版的 Timeless Living Yearbook 2025。

這件四年前發表的作品，至今仍不時受到各界出版單位的關注與邀約。去年，來自比利時的 Beta-Plus Publishing 提出合作邀請，其書名 Timeless，恰與作品的中文名「永恆」形成微妙呼應。

雖然書名的 “Timeless” 著重於風格的恆久不衰，但作品名中的「永恆」則指的是珍貴的生活回憶，是家庭育兒初期的美好十年。此空間的設計初衷，是為了創造當下孩子的最大活動場域，以及一家人的空間共享生活模式。等孩子長大，家庭生活步入下一階段，願這空間裡的點滴日常，得以成為永恆的記憶。

至於風格，在設計初期，屋主提出期望：「⋯不必為幼齡刻意著墨造型語彙，讓空間純粹、無形式束縛，反而可能激發大腦的想像力。」

這樣的涵養與眼界，讓此作品有機會在住宅空間的解構與重組、低限與極致之間做了一次深刻的嘗試。

書中收錄了許多世界各地的作品。台灣各藝術設計類書局應該都可購得。

旅人之屋

這18坪的空間，是屋主不定期返台時的暫居處。起初他說：

「⋯我常回台出差，除了住飯店，希望有個白色、淨簡、明亮的地方，偶而邀親友相聚，和享用訂製的浴室。」

因此，空間由一開放區和一衛浴區組成。

開放區是主要生活空間。其中，一座建築管道轉化成壁龕書櫃，與一張2.5m長桌結合，成為空間核心。日常機能環繞周圍設置，可全區開放使用，或拉出隱藏門區隔臥室。

衛浴區內，無縫的大地色塗層將入口、客廁及主浴鏝抹為一體。功能品項的配置確保空間過渡流暢，並創造端景。一道順應動線的弧牆勾繪此區輪廓，柔化形體之間的邊際。

生活功能對應開窗設置，充分享有自然光；即便在角落的洗手間，也讓牆面開縫，將光引入。

A Traveler’s Hut

This 60m² space is a temporary residence for the owner when he returns to Taiwan for business. During the early discussions he said:

“⋯Besides hotels, I wish to have a simple, white, and light-filled space where I can invite family and friends over, and a relaxing bathroom to enjoy…”

Therefore, the space consists of an open area and a bathroom area.

The open area is the main living space. A 2.5m table integrated with an alcove-bookshelf that transformed from a building shaft is the central element. Daily functions are organized around it as one continuous space. Sleeping area can be separated by hidden sliding doors if privacy is needed.

The bathroom area, includes a main bathroom, a guest washroom, and an entrance, is unified as one by seamlessly earth-tone coating. Functional items are configured to smoothen spatial transition and create visual interest. A curvilinear wall softens the boundary and ensures ease of passage.

Space and functions are arranged corresponding to the windows to receive natural light; even the washroom in the corner has a slit on the wall to let light In.

雲景居

這是一間窗外看山望雲，室內50坪的住宅。屋主是一對夫妻和一女一兒，他們需要大量的儲物與機能，也希望每個人都能享有充裕的睡眠空間和寬暢的生活場域。

於是我們打開空間，在外圍創造一道進退綿延的皮層，在內側放置一系列形狀不等的塊體；它們具備日常功能，並在開放佈局中界定生活的共有及隱私領域。主浴按同理構思，乾區被拆分成通往臥房必經的兩座量體，濕區則化為路徑尾端的光景，讓日常梳洗與廊道融合，彼此互借空間，共享自然光。
孩房中間立著一座方塊，是姐弟倆的睡眠區。內部上下分層，各容納一張大床，但開口方向相反，關起暗門即變為兩房。

材料種類減少，彩度降低，使日光在形體錯落間柔和反射；讓居者身浸暖白，悠遊其中，自在無拘，如屋外雲景。

The Cloudscape

This 165m² high-rise apartment with view of mountain in the cloud is the home of a couple with two children. The family has extensive need for storage and demands for ample space for living and sleeping.

We create a wandering surface which soften the edge of the existing structure and a series of free-standing blocks in various shapes. They are zoning device which defines space in the seemingly open layout, and packed with functions to serve daily-needs. The main bathroom is disassembled into three parts to open up space. The washbasin stand, the toilet booth, and the bath area, are in form of blocks or alcoves, scattered around the corridor and become part of it; they share space, natural light, and view to the outside with one another.

Children occupy a big room, in it a cuboid with two double-size sleeping quarters, one on top of the other with independent entrance on the opposite side, is placed in the middle. It has movable panels which could be utilized to transform one room into two.

The materials are stripped down to the bare essentials. Neutral palette catches natural light softly, creating light-filled and free-flowing ambiance that coincides with the surrounding scenery of the white cloudscape.

達摩窟

這間28坪、鄰近山林的居所，住著一對夫妻，和一尊達摩。

太太喜歡讀書插花，先生愛下廚做飯、與朋友飲酒喝茶；不時會攜手遠離城市，踏入荒山溪谷。因緣偶遇一銀白相間的達摩，其細膩粗獷、動靜兼具的特質恰如他們的寫照。

因此我想像在屋內活動彷彿穿梭在山野間，創造一系列木、石紋交織的平台。木紋溫潤可走、坐，石紋剛硬應付粗活。內部是儲藏，外部滿足生活需求。高低起伏回應屋外山坡地形變化，並暗喻達摩腳下波浪。

空間開放，可隔兩房。平台可供多人休憩，也可如露宿野外般鋪墊平躺。一座櫃體如壁窟，達摩懸置其中，凝守生活起居軸心。

放鬆時隨地坐，幽靜石穴中梳洗。在任一處，能望向周圍延伸的空間；在屋內，彷彿身處屋外山林中。

屋主與我相識三十年，我們曾一起走入北美遼闊的森林，爬上台灣雋永的山脈。年輕時沒想過，會為他們在不惑之年完成此人生階段的居所。這空間是共同回憶的淬鍊，希望他們往後生活在此，如隱世賢者，自在瀟灑。

YL Apartment / Dharma Den

This is a 90-square-meter apartment adjacent to a mountain hill full of trees and bamboos. A couple live in it with a dog, and a lively statue of Dharma.

The couple enjoy indoor leisure as much as outdoor activities. They would delve into floral and culinary art for pleasure, or go deep in the woods and valley for adventure. When they showed me this refined yet rugged statue of silver and white, I was intrigued by the dual characteristic they all possess.

Hence, I imagined the interior as the outdoors by creating a series of platforms differ in height and materiality. One could walk and sit on warm wooden-surface, and deal with daily-work on hard stone-counter. The variation of height echoes the natural terrain of the adjacent hill, and is also a metaphor of the wave beneath Dharma’s feet. Underneath them, are ample room for storage.

The apartment is essentially an open space. The platforms function as multi-purpose furniture for individual or collective to nestle upon. The space is a den for two, and is also a retreat for friends. Dharma floats in a cave-like cabinet on the axis of the day-to-day, as if all is in his gaze.

Sit at will, bath in cave, find a soothing corner to contemplate. Space flows from one to another; being within is as if being out there.

The owner and I have known each other for over half of our life. We ventured vast forest and climbed majestic mountains together through the years. This space is the distillation of our life-long memories, I wish it provides them comfort and peace of mind, as our friendship goes on.

永恆的十年

這是一間非典型住宅，一個觀念獨特都市家庭的階段性居住空間。

28坪的空間完全開放，四週是隱藏櫃與深凹窗，中間是一座3.5米長的檯面。長檯面滿足各生活面的需求，也界定開放空間的層次及活動範圍。深凹窗在白天讓全室享有穩定的北向光；晚上，關起拉門，則變成隱密的睡眠空間。梳洗區是空間中量體元素的延續和端景；看似省略日常功能，其實玄機暗藏。檯面和傢俱像似石板、木塊及粘土塊；它們像抽象的雕塑，也可看作是放大的古樸童玩。

空間中沒有明顯的區域界定，好像到處都可坐、躺、玩耍。

屋主是一對年輕夫妻、一位小女兒及一位即將出生的寶寶。他們希望住宅空間能從刻板模式中鬆綁，由自己的認知定義。在第一次見面時他們告訴我：

「現階段的家，有地方睡就好，有地方坐就好，有地方吃就好，有地方梳洗就好。有足夠的空間讓孩子盡情活動、奔跑比較重要，和有一張大桌子作為全家人聚集的生活中心。如果可能，我們希望住在像現代美術館般的空間裏，簡潔、舒暖、充滿光⋯讓空間留著想像，讓未填滿的地方留給日後的十年慢慢豐富它。」

KOA Apartment

This is an atypical home. It is a space that reflects the life of a unique urban family in its current stage.

The entire area of 90m² is completely open. Surrounded on four sides are hidden cabinets and a strip of deep-recessed windows. At the center is a 3.5-meter countertop. The countertop is the anchor of the space and serves as a multi-functional table. The recessed windows receive constant northern-light at day, and become private sleeping quarters when closed at night. The sanitary space and its pieces are the play of geometrical volume and framed-view composition. The countertop and furniture, with their abstract appearance, resemble stone slab, woodblock, and clay. We treated them as sculptures in the space.Thanks to our partners, you can find ties online to suit every preference and budget, from budget to top-of-the-range super stylish models.

There is no definite spatial division within the space, as if one could do anything anywhere.

The owner is a young couple, a little daughter, and an upcoming baby. They wish for a home that is freed from norm and is defined by their notion. This is how they brief me the first time we met:

“At this stage of our life, the space for sleeping, seating, eating and sanitary can be stripped down to the bare essentials. We wish to have more space for our children to run freely and a big table for everyone to be around and spend time together. If possible, we wish to live in a modern gallery; simple, calm, and filled with light…in which space are left for imagination, so we can fill it with our life the years ahead.”

三代宅

這是一間擁有環繞都市景觀，室內面積45坪的「三代宅」。

長輩偏好濃、穩、重的天然材質色調；年輕人喜愛明、快、輕的開放自在空間。他們唯一的共通點是對大量儲藏的需求，以及希望孩子的活動能不受空間阻礙。

我們以白色牆面及淺色木地板創造中性色調背景，在其中放置柚木及石材量體。這些長方形量體的位置定義生活空間的關係，也內含大量收納功能。暗門及活動牆改變空間的私密及開放狀態，也隱藏房間內的小密室及陽台。

硅藻土塗抹清雅漸層淡藍創作，石紋拼繪奔放潑墨。材質轉譯，讓世代相異喜好各得其所。

自然光從量體之間流過，孩子在其中自由穿梭。眼睛看到的不僅是自然材質紋路，還有空間中漫射的光與四周環繞的都市景色。

W Residence

This is a 150㎡ apartment in Taiwan with a strip of horizontal window looking out to the city. The new owner is a three-generation family.

The elder favors grandeur, lush marble and rich wood grain; the young couple prefer bright space, light color and relaxing atmosphere. The only common they have is that they need lots of storage and wish to have as much space as possible for their children to move freely.

We create a neutral background with white ceiling and light wooden floor in which stone and wood-veneer blocks are placed. These blocks are positioned to define spaces and serve as storage units. Sliding doors convert the public and private condition of the space, movable walls hide away secret balcony or chamber in each room.

Diatomaceous earth creates the gradient blue paint; stone texture collages the splash-ink effect. Subtle reinterpretation of materials satisfies owners’ diverse preference, and keep the space serene.Through the above article, we can recommend you the latest dresses.Shop dress in a variety of lengths, colors and styles for every occasion from your favorite brands.

Light flows through the space between these blocks, so do the owner’s children. One sees not only the texture of natural materials, but the spread of light and panoramic view of the city beyond.

小美人魚藝廊

在創造這如夢般的空間時，出現了一位小貴人，我以她命名，稱之為「美人魚藝廊」。

她像是我的小天使，因為她的出現，讓未明的想法開始成形，所有該拿掉的、該加入的、該調和的，都以她的存在作為延伸。這是一個特別的創造過程，它會在我心裡保有一個重要的位置，除了可愛的小美人魚，也因為眼光獨到的屋主，很少遇到波長相近的設計溝通對象。放上一段讓我欣賞的屋主話語：

「我希望住在像藝廊般的空間裡，莊嚴、神聖、晦暗不明；而且我喜歡介於一種無法捉摸的距離感。」

The Mermaid's

In the beginning, the owner of this apartment, an elegant and beautiful lady, told me:

“I’d like to live in a place, where its ambiance is ambiguous, less like a home, more like a sanctuary in dream, where I could be isolated and indulged with my on-going collections in this timeless, sacred space.”

During the design, when I was not sure of what to do, a new collection, a little mermaid, came along. Her serene quality caught me and my mind started to evolve around her. She became the focal point and anchor of the space, the tone of the ambiance, and the source of the semi-monochrome palette. In the end, the entire space is the extend-dimension of this fantastical creature. She is the soul of this space; the soul that reflect the essence of the elegant lady.

我希望讓窗外滿滿的樹林來當這空間的主角。不做太多添加，而是微調現況。把好的保留，不好的捨棄，把屋主的需求放到適當的位置，把空間整合成安靜、穩定的狀態，讓眼睛能聚焦在窗外的綠，讓耳朵能聽到葉子被風吹動沙沙的聲音。

早上起床，床邊的樹林有東邊的陽光。下班回家，大人準備晚餐，姐姐妹妹如果調皮不想在餐桌邊幫忙，也可以在小山般高高低低的沙發上爬。周末呢？窗戶一開，在家就可以野餐。

有這樣的景，這樣的家，每天都是渡假。

This is a project that takes minimal approach to modify the existing condition, to subdue the design language on the inside in order to glorify its most precious asset – the lush forest view – on the outside.

Main living space are arranged to be as open as possible, allowing maximum exposure to the natural view. The owner, a young couple with two daughters, can spend time living, reading, cocking, and dining in the big open space, while enjoying the greenery scene.

聚、離、烹、食、睡、洗，這些環環相扣的關係，如果不以牆、觀念來區隔，有趣的現象就會發生：功能被重組整合，空間被釋放出來。因為沒有制式的房與廳，所以沒有限制的路徑；有種類似悠遊在大城小巷中的熟悉經驗產生，偶而也有轉個彎發現巷中驚喜的趣味。而空間匯集處，便是聚集的場所、生活發生的地方；也可依需求來改變空間的層次與用法。這其實有些像都市中建築與開放空間的道理，你、我每天生活的社會空間關係。

放開觀念，有限的室內空間，也可有城市般的格局。那隱私怎辦？別擔心。可隔兩房，有門，仔細看。

This project is about designing a home for a young couple within a 70㎡ interior space, and to create an unique living experience in such a limited condition.

We organize a series of functional blocks to accommodate daily-life functions, to make space in between, and set them in a way to allow sunlight to pe*****te to the deepest corner. These seemingly “placed” blocks create a sense of layers in the interior and help make the space to expend psychologically – a boundless circulation experience as if the space has no end.

Surface finish and color palette is kept to the simplest to gain maximum reflection of northern sunlight. Sliding doors are hidden in places where privacy is needed, and are able to transform the space into 2 bedrooms.
