Ganjana Participates in Dr. David Nsiyona Unilever Distributor Session at Stanbic Bank Incubation Offices

Today, the Stanbic Bank Incubation Offices in Lower Kololo hosted a key session aimed at entrepreneurs interested in becoming official Unilever distributors. This opportunity, facilitated through the Stanbic Business Incubator and the NSSF Incubation Program, is designed to empower emerging business owners by connecting them with one of the world’s leading consumer brands.

Ganjana was proud to participate in the event, which provided valuable insights into the distribution process and highlighted the benefits of corporate partnerships for small and medium enterprises.

The session also featured expert guidance from Dr. David Conrad Nsiyona, a respected entrepreneur and business strategist. His contributions emphasized the importance of strategic planning, innovation, and effective leadership in driving business growth and sustainability.

This event underscores the growing support for entrepreneurs in the region and demonstrates the commitment of partners like Stanbic and NSSF to facilitate meaningful opportunities for business expansion.

*Ganjana Bakeries Participates in National Masterclass on Packaging Technology*

From August 5th to 7th, 2025, Ganjana Bakeries had the privilege of participating in a prestigious Masterclass on Packaging Technology, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives (MTIC) in collaboration with the Institute for Packaging Partners of Uganda (IPPU) and the World Packaging Organisation (WPO). The training took place at the Protea Hotel Kololo in Kampala, running daily from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

As a key stakeholder in Uganda’s food industry, Ganjana Bakeries was represented by our Managing Director, Maureen B. Ndahura, who engaged fully in the three-day intensive training designed to equip producers and manufacturers with the latest packaging innovations and best practices.

The Masterclass provided an excellent platform for hands-on learning, as participants were encouraged to bring packaged products and unused packaging materials to the sessions. Demonstrations and practical activities helped deepen understanding of effective packaging design, material selection, and sustainable solutions—critical factors in improving product shelf life, safety, and market appeal.

Maureen expressed gratitude for the opportunity, noting, “This training aligns perfectly with Ganjana Bakeries’ commitment to quality and innovation. Packaging is an essential part of how we present our products to customers, and learning from global and local experts empowers us to enhance our packaging standards and ultimately deliver better value to our consumers.”

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives alongside IPPU and WPO demonstrated strong support for local businesses through this initiative, reinforcing Uganda’s growing focus on improving industrial standards and competitiveness.

Ganjana Bakeries looks forward to applying these new insights to continue strengthening our brand and serving the community with excellent bakery products wrapped in quality packaging. Also important is ensuring sustainability of the environment by using reusable or recyclable packaging an area to be explored by Ganjana Bakeries with guidance from IPPA and WPO.
