What a transformation!

We took this dated primary bathroom and gave it a completely new look, creating a space that feels warm, modern, and timeless.

From the beautiful wood cabinetry and textured tile to the freestanding tub and oversized round mirrors, every detail was thoughtfully selected to bring warmth, texture, and balance into the space.

And that view of our beautiful New Mexico landscape? The perfect finishing touch!

It's amazing what thoughtful design can do for a space.

Color, culture & inspiration in Querétaro. 🇲🇽

One of my favorite things about traveling is experiencing the design of a place—the architecture, the color, the textiles, the details and the history behind it all.

Querétaro certainly does not shy away from color, and I love it. Vibrant yellows, pinks, blues and reds are everywhere, set against beautiful historic architecture and traditional craftsmanship.

As a designer, I’m always paying attention to how color makes a space feel, and Mexico is such a beautiful reminder that color doesn’t have to be timid. It can be bold, joyful and deeply connected to culture and place.

And clearly, I understood the assignment with this dress. 😉🌼

Querétaro, you’ve been good to me.🫶🏼

It’s been a minute since I’ve introduced myself around here… so hi! I’m Marisa. 💛

I’m the owner and principal designer behind Spatial Harmony Interiors, based right here in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

I’m a New Mexican through and through, and so much of how I see design is influenced by this place—our history, architecture, landscape, culture, and the beautiful mix of old and new that makes New Mexico unlike anywhere else.

As a designer, I don’t believe your home should look like my style. It should look and feel like you. My job is to help bring that together in a way that feels thoughtful, functional, beautiful—and like somewhere you actually want to live.

Outside of design, I’m a wife, mom, Mimi, community advocate, fitness lover, and someone who will probably always choose a great pair of boots. 😉

If you’ve been here for a while, thank you for following along. And if you’re new here, welcome! I’d love to know where you’re following from.

A kitchen completely reimagined.

This transformation was about so much more than updating finishes. We reworked the space to create better flow, more functional storage and a kitchen that feels connected to the rest of the home.
The warm wood cabinetry brings richness and character, while the light countertops, handmade-look tile and streamlined black hardware give the space a fresh, modern balance.

One of my favorite things about a remodel is seeing the potential in a space that isn’t quite working — and then watching it become something completely different.

The before and after says it all.

A bathroom doesn’t have to be large to make a statement.

For this renovation, we took a dated vanity area and gave it an entirely new personality—warm walnut cabinetry, crisp quartz, brushed brass fixtures and that gorgeous graphic tile that completely transforms the space.

I especially love the balance of the bold pattern against the warmth of the wood and brass. It feels fresh and modern, but still warm enough to live with for years to come.

✨ A thoughtful layout can completely transform how a space feels.

This family-owned collision repair business wanted a lobby that felt warm, welcoming, and comfortable for their customers while they waited for estimates.

The existing lobby wasn't bad—it simply wasn't making the best use of the space. By reimagining the floor plan, creating multiple seating zones, and incorporating a dedicated table where customers can comfortably meet with an estimator, we transformed the lobby into a space that is both functional and inviting.

One of my favorite parts of this project was preserving two pieces that were meaningful to the client, proving that great design isn't always about starting over. It's about thoughtfully blending what matters with what works.

Good design is about more than beautiful furniture—it's about creating spaces that support the people who use them every day.

A lounge area isn’t just a place to sit—
it’s an experience.

When every detail is considered—from materials to proportion to texture—you create a space that invites people to pause, connect, and stay a little longer.

This is the difference thoughtful design makes.

If you’re ready to create a space that works just as beautifully as it looks, let’s connect.

When a conference room becomes a statement.

This isn’t just a place to meet—
it’s a space designed to elevate how people gather, collaborate, and think.

At the center of it all is a custom training table by —crafted with intention, character, and a level of detail you simply don’t get off the shelf.

The richness of the wood grain.
The scale.
The weight of it—both physically and visually.

These are the elements that transform a standard office into an experience.
Because the truth is—
you can have four walls and a table…
or you can have a space that commands attention and sets the tone the moment you walk in.

That difference? It’s always in the details.

You can’t fix a bad layout with pretty finishes.

And you can’t elevate a space without them.

This project is a perfect example of both done right.

We redefined the layout to maximize function, flow, and usability—then curated finishes that bring the entire space together with intention and clarity.

Every decision serves a purpose.
Every detail supports the whole.
That’s not luck—that’s great design!
