Hi! I’m Eternity. My journey with art began in a suburb of California, under a big avocado tree in my backyard, on roads of mud made with Tonka Trucks and my mother’s old Dutch wooden spoons. In time the mud turned to clay as my inspirations were nurtured by the sights and sounds of my little neighborhood during the 1970’s. Often before sunrise, my daddy and I would walk to our favorite coffee shop, Sambo’s, for coffee. I loved to watch the cook and listen to the trucker and Harley philosophies of life, before the men started their runs. As I watched the streetlights change, my nose pressed against the thick restaurant window, the sun would rise, and I drempt of all the possibilities the day might bring. By age 6, I could make the cooks full breakfast spread out of mud, including the ruffles on the bacon, on the bacon and egg sandwich, to-go.
And who knew that a world of design would come from a little girl taking scraps as they fell from her mother’s sewing table to make precious doll clothes and accessories.
Today I live in New Mexico, where the rich colors and culture continue to inspire my work. My designs are currently for sale at the The Rainbow Man in Santa Fe, Napoli Coffee and The ABQ Collective, along with other shops in New Mexico. I look forward to many more pieces from that special place where “Where Line and Design Dance.”
Thank you for allowing me to share some of my story. Stay tuned for more!
