Our next group lesson will be making a Clay Jellyfish!! This class will be on Thursday, July 2nd at 1pm OR 5pm
Come enjoy this multimedia class where you combine pottery with beading. Participants will create a clay dome then bead wire and string to hang from their piece.
This class will incorporate the pottery wheel, as each participant will get a turn on the wheel to make the top pottery piece of the jellyfish. While that is happening, everyone else will work on the hanging tentacles. Participants can choose from a wide variety of beads to add to wire and string.
After this class is completed, the clay portions will be left to dry and go through their first kiln firing. At a later date, participants will be contacted to return and glaze their pottery. We will walk you through various technique to achieve different unique looks. The pottery will then go through its second firing and once it's completed, we will assemble the jellyfish and contact participants when it's ready to be picked up.
