Swamp Witch's Peculiarities

We're 10 days away from our baby arriving, and I've been trying to drown my anxiety with crafting 🤣 I've already crocheted 2 baby blankets and working on a 3rd, but decided to take a break to work on my mouse goods! So we present a new mouse pouch design 👀 We're also processing some new pelts in the background👀
Combining crochet, mouse leather/pelts, and hand stitching! We've had this idea for a bit but wasn't exactly sure how to execute it properly, but we hope y'all enjoy our first attempt at it!
We're currently working on one with a slightly thicker black thread, and have some gorgeous pelts already prepared 🖤
These bags are very durable and we can't wait to see how well they hold up over time, my original pouches have held up very well considering they are unlined and unbacked.
We plan on finally working on some goat pelts as well as rabbits and may make bigger bags/purses with those!

We were also given 4 baby goats that unfortunately didn't make it, we so very appreciate the chances to work with different species of animals, due to the kindness of those in our community 🖤 Thank you to everyone for the support 🫶🏻

We were gifted this absolutely gorgeous peacock pelt,almost complete skin 🥹🖤 We have some exciting projects in store with this stunning specimen and can't wait to share them with y'all!

I was gifted some of my great grandfather's knives, he passed in the 80s and I honestly dont know the last time these were messed with 😭 this one in particular was in pretty rough shape, but I think I've done a pretty good job cleaning her up so far and salvaging the sheathe! I added a mouse pelt to cover where the old decal leather was, unfortunately there wasn't much left of that 😅
Let me know what y'all think! I'm so honored to have these pieces with me 🫶🏻🖤 I can't wait to show y'all the other two I've been working on as well soon!

Also the only treatment used on the leather was our oil mix, and boy is this leather thirsty 😭
