Simple but sweet thin blue line flag.

This flag was personalized with their last name and badge number (I did hide the last name in the photos). I painted the poplar black and then carved all the details. I used a blue stain for the blue stripe and a satin finish to seal it.

This walnut beauty. 🥰

The added personalized engraving on the top of the box really makes this one special. I’ll show that off after the big day! I used a black felt to create the spots for the rings and went with a magnetic closure to keep the lid secure and the rings safe. My go to wood wax was used to finish the box. It brings out all the natural beauty of the wood!

This weather has made it impossible to get in the shop this month. I haven’t done any woodworking in almost 3 weeks! It’s the longest break I’ve taken since 2021. 😫

I don’t have anything new right now so just enjoy this cherry train set I made for our son for Christmas. This one is finished with The Real Milk Paint Co. wood wax.

In honor of our -25 feels like temperatures (which means another weekend with no work in the shop 😫), I present to you the last thing I was able to make before we hit the ice age!

This curly maple charcuterie board was personalized with a family recipe, including a handwritten title! I used food safe paint in Arabian Night to make the engravings stand out more and then sealed the whole thing with their hypoallergenic, food safe h**p oil.

One of my favorite Christmas gifts! Our 8 year old is a bookworm and she asked for a TON of books for Christmas. 📚

Unfortunately, she didn’t have a place to put her books and she doesnt have room for a traditional bookshelf. Wade decided to make her this beautiful adjustable, desktop bookshelf using hackberry. Now she can switch her books out and keep as many as she’d like in her room!

Happy New Years Eve! I’ve been pretty silent on here the last couple weeks with the holidays going on. I’ve been enjoying my break from the shop! Now that Christmas is over I can finally share a few more Christmas gifts we made.

This family order was one of my favorites to make this year. We made them some extra special pieces that hopefully last a lifetime. This walnut was found in a shop of a relative who had passed. We brought it home and created these ornaments and charcuterie boards. Not pictured is a name puzzle I also made. I was honored when they asked us to make such special pieces to always remember them by!!

These cutting boards are so much fun to make. The color pop just adds that little extra!

Wade and I split the work 50/50 on these. He makes the board and I handle the sanding, engraving, and painting portion.

This 12x18” walnut board was painted with food safe paint in the color pumpkin. Then it was sealed with their environmentally friendly, food safe half and half tung oil.

This one got a custom paint color mix to get as close to that K-State purple as I could. The engraving and juice groove were painted with The Real Milk Paint Co. milk paints (I used a combo of navy, flag red, and soft white) and then I sealed it with their half and half food grade tung oil.
