So happy with this painting. I carried in my heart. I chose this Rumi quote for the title because working on it quieted me and turned down the noise.

No matter what, I have my art. When life is difficult, I have my art. I have my art and that makes me the luckiest girl in the world. 🥰

Very little time in the studio this year for a variety of reasons but when I do go in, I chip away at this ONE PAINTING. At 40”, it sits on my easel waiting patiently for me to visit. It doesn’t judge me, it knows I’m doing the best I can. I feel better knowing it’s there, like a friend.

So exciting! Susan Bonn and I have created our very first prototype blanket inspired by my painting, “Transcendent,” to be sold in her gorgeous textile boutique, Drift, in Wellfleet, Massachusetts!

The blankets are made by In2Green, makers of luxury products from recycled cotton fibers from post-industrial fabric clippings in a process that saves millions of gallons of water a year. đź’¦ They are absolutely gorgeous!

We’re excited to continue our collaboration with more designs! 🤓

On my easel but now it’s time to put it aside and let it rest. I’ve always felt anxiety at this stage of a painting - big moves ahead, unresolved, worry that it won’t be resolved, gnashing of teeth, etc. But my last painting proved to me that being put aside at this “anxiety stage,” is the right way to go for me. When I know, and the painting knows, what it wants to be.

Moving on. For now. 🫶
