I HAVE AN IDEA 💡 And I need your help deciding if I should make it happen!

I know there are so many of you who have a great eye for design and genuinely WANT to design your own kitchen. You know what you love, you have a vision, but you might not know exactly how to get there.

Because designing a kitchen is SO much more than picking pretty finishes. It’s knowing what decisions to make, when to make them, and all the little details you don’t even know you’re supposed to be thinking about.

So what if I could teach you?

I’m thinking about taking a small group of 5–7 people through a six-week kitchen design intensive. Think weekly assignments, real-life design exercises, one-on-one calls with me, group discussions, and a community of people going through the same process.

Essentially, YOU design your kitchen, and I guide you through the process.

This is just an idea right now, but I would LOVE your honest feedback.

The pretty part is the easy part 😅

It’s wild how many different trades have to perfectly overlap just to create one little tub + shower moment.

This is the part of design you don’t always see on Pinterest: the planning, sequencing, and approximately 47 people who have to touch something before it looks like the inspiration photo 😂

But she’s getting there and I already know this is going to be one of my favorite spaces in our house.

Materials matter 👏🏼

And “real wood” doesn’t automatically mean better, just like MDF or engineered doesn’t automatically mean cheap. It’s all about knowing what you’re using, where you’re using it, and why.

The more you know before you build or renovate, the better decisions you can make.

I found all three at Stone West, Inc., and any one of them could completely MAKE a space. Natural stone doesn’t always have to be safe and neutral. Sometimes the bold choice is the one that makes the entire design.

I would genuinely love to hear directly from the tile brands we know and love.

What steps are you taking to address lead in your products? Are you implementing additional testing, increasing transparency, or working toward lead-free alternatives?

As designers, we have a responsibility to understand the materials we’re specifying, and consumers deserve to feel confident about what they’re bringing into their homes.
