They did it! This is Quinn and Keaton’s first year that their JROTC at this school has competed competively and had a team for a RECf Aerial Drone Comp, and they came in first on the Teamwork Mission AND rcvd the Judge’s Award! They put in a lot of hours over break, had a lot of support from the community that helped make this happen. Yesterday, they headed out after school to South Carolina for the competition bright and early this morning into the afternoon, but they did it! 🙌 Now, on to the next to take their lessons learned to continue to improve to be the best team they can be!
Their t-shirts & sweatshirts ended up looking cool too! 😎 The team came up w their own team logo and wanted a flaming muscle tater tot hidden on it(🙃, bc their teenagers), secured the sponsors, I just helped with the design, layout and making them happen over break down to having to arrange pickup of one final one the day they drove out. 🤪

Over the break, on Christmas Eve, we helped this guys celebrate his 16th year on this awesome earth! We are so lucky that God blessed him with us. He still has the lil red metallic Christmas Tree that was in the hospital room on Christmas Day when Santa found us when he was 1 -day old, and the stocking he still uses that he fit into. Like we’ve always told him, he was SO special that he almost even shared his bday with Jesus! He’s a pretty laid back guy, so likes to keep things small, but we celebrated at home w MoMa & G’Daddy. Then headed over later to have cake w some of his cousins, aunt, uncle, and family friends. At the end of break he took his brother and few friends to do an escape room where they played cards in the car (which was hilarious listening to them), and then came back to enjoy more games. Lots of big celebrations this year for our family, and this is just the first! We are so proud of the young man he is growing in to. He is quiet spoken but has a great sense of humor. Loooovvveeesss animals and is so creative. Enjoys playing his music, is great with gaming, this year is enjoying flying competitive drones, and we can’t wait to see what path he chooses in life. We love ya!

These teens are having fun over break getting in some extra practice time all weekend for the 2026 Time Warp Mission-Aerial Drone Comp Season. It’s been so beneficial and cool to see how they have started to really bond as a team. 😃
