I worked hard in 2025 to make work and put it out there for the world to see but I wouldn't be where I am now without Y'ALL! You make Bex Pottery possible! Your continued support, in more ways than just purchasing my work, allows me to exist in this world as a full-time artist. Your smiling faces at markets, kind messages online, laughter at my word mugs and cocktus sculptures, you sharing my work with your loved ones, and the knowledge that my work is going home with people who really love it keeps me feeling fulfilled and energized to continue moving forward, even when it feels like the world is on fire. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all so much! 💖🥹
To my fellow art & vendor friends, both new and old, a big thanks to y'all as well! You've helped me keep sane through the ups and downs of being on the market scene, in gallery spaces, and as an artist in general. We've celebrated together, laughed together, shared frustrations, and in some cases cried together! From highly successful events to some that went differently than we all hoped, we're out there doing our best and putting ourselves out there TOGETHER. We're a vibrant community of folks busting ass making killer work while also giving each other feedback, sharing leads on apps and calls for work, splitting booths, purchasing from one another, sharing drinks, commiserating over tacos, and talking each other out of getting another degree (still TBD tho, in all honesty 🤪).
As I reflect on 2025, I'm actually pretty proud of myself. Also, I'm proud of myself for being able to say that in the first place as someone who spent a lot of time not acknowledging or celebrating my accomplishments over the years. I'm excited to see what 2026 brings, whatever that may be. If nothing else this year has, for better or worse, reinforced my philosophy on life: "eh, IKD. it'll probably work out. 🤷♀️" LOLOLOLOL
