Who doesn’t love a dramatic before & after? Transforming this waiting area to a moody and upscale space that exudes texture was an adventure in collaboration with this special client. I can’t pick a favorite, but I absolutely love the wallpaper layered behind the custom cabinetry. Oh, and that wood paneled wall and backsplash are definitely next on the list.

Let’s talk bedding! There are so many bed sheets to choose from, how do we know which is best?

Percale is a type of cotton known for its crisscross pattern. These sheets are not only durable but nice and crisp, one of my faves, especially for the warmer months.

Linen, another favorite, these are naturally anti-microbial and known to soften as you wash them. Durable, and will last. These are my go-to year round sheet choice.

Egyptian cotton, a higher-end cotton, soft and luxurious and also durable. If you’re treating yourself these may be the best option for that luxe feel.

Flannel, usually made from cotton these are best for those cold winter nights when the temp drops. Paired with a down comforter and you’ll stay nice and toasty!

And don’t be fooled by thread count, a higher count doesn’t always mean good quality. Ideally you want 300-500, feel the sheets for softness, I always recommend 100% cotton when in doubt.

A friend sent me this photo, the clearest photo taken of the moon so far, and asked if I could make one of my color palettes for her. How could I say no? The beautiful hues of murky green/browns, corals, purples, and even lavenders! Such a beautiful palette I had to expand to more colors to make sure to include them all!

I'll take one in every color 😍

Stone is like nature's canvas and each movement is a brushstroke. Bringing natural elements into the home with features like countertops/backsplashes, custom mantles and fireplace surounds is one of my favorite ways to implement stone into the home. No two slabs are the same and it always adds such a bespoke feel to any space.

Mastering the art of layering…

Here, the coastal-inspired stripe of the upholstery is perfectly juxtaposed against the organic weave of the rattan accent. Add in the rich woven floral of the rug, and you’ve got a symphony of textures and patterns that creates a space both inviting and effortlessly chic.

I once had the privilege of listening in on a talk at ADAC where the designer encouraged the designers in attendance to pull a room together inspired from a piece of art. I love this idea as it brings harmony to the space and places the art as the focal point of the room.

I adore Jeni Stallings work and fell in love with the tones in this piece. Feeling led to create a color palette from it, I'm imagining rugs, furnishings, and window treatments layered together in these beautiful toned down hues.
