Roswell Living Refresh ✨
Swipe to see how simple furniture & decor enhancements can upgrade your look, without breaking the bank!
In the past I’ve been spoiled by many clients who let me start with a blank canvas & a nice budget. But sometimes it’s the clients who give you a tight budget and have eclectic pieces that especially sparks creativity and a drive to overcome the challenge. Here are a few highlights of what I did to keep things light on the wallet but pack a big punch in enhancing the aesthetic of the space —
🪡 Reupholstered the existing sofa — I loved the traditional English arm and tall back, but she was tired, sad and really not all that comfortable. To update her, we draped her in a Snow White performance fabric to balance the bright built in cabinetry. Instead of traditional piping we opted for a double stitch method that gave her an updated look. Lastly we ditched the skirt and gave her some fabulous legs to stand on that actually made the height of the sofa more appropriate for my taller clients. Et voilà - a new sofa for less than $2000.
🪑 Reupholstered existing chairs — Same story. We loved the chairs, but they were begging for a refresh. We breathed new life into them by selecting an Asian landscape fabric of soft cranberry and earthy blue green hues after being inspired by the home owners love of travel and specifically Asia as you can tell by the existing shelf decor. 🖼️ Speaking of decor, most of these pieces were collected from their travels. I wanted to fully lean into the Asian influence when reimagining this space, so I embellished the styling a bit with artwork & pottery that felt like I could have picked it up overseas. (under 2k)
🪭Rug selections can make or break the budget. Don’t get me wrong, I loveee a good vintage rug (like love) but when the budget doesn’t allow, you pick a machine created beauty that gives the look of vintage at a power loom price. As always for killed it with the Cloudpile technology (feels like butter on your feet) & gorgeous coloration & patterning. (12 x 15 under $600)
