One of the things I LOVE about traveling the world is finding new ways to experience a place & learn about its culture. I learned this firsthand in Turkey, back in 2015, when I took a super immersive tour & saw how FOOD could actually tell the story of the place I was exploring in a way that all my sightseeing NEVER could.

Food really is the great ambassador of ANY place because it makes the culture come ALIVE.

No matter where you go, it’s through food that we learn how people celebrate births & weddings. How they grieve their dead, welcome you into their homes, & bond over special meals. And once that clicked for me, food became a “tool” I started using to guide my experiences abroad, because I finally understood that the spices, methods, ingredients & customs were telling a much bigger story.

Like with Moroccan couscous.

I mean, you may have eaten couscous before…but if you’ve never used your fingers to eat fresh, hand rolled & steamed couscous piled high & topped with carrots, zucchini, squash, fava beans & the most SCRUMPTIOUS mix of sweetened onions & raisins??

I’d argue that you’ve actually never HAD IT before.

So when I talk about how the Lost & Found Marrakech retreat is an opportunity to let go of who you are, so you can open up to who you can become? This is what I mean:

I love sharing baby photos on my birthday because THIS is the real boss of my life. In everything I do, these days, I try to remember that I’m doing it for HER.❤️

I thought I’d feel OLD by now but the truth is, the only thing I feel is more EMBODIED, because I’ve had a chance to actually LIVE the s**t I talk about.

Knowledge is something we learn from books & other people, but wisdom?? Well, that’s knowledge that’s been LIVED.

It’s knowledge that’s been tried & tested by the 🔥 of our own personal experience, and one thing’s for sure—the last 43 years have definitely given me that!!

At 43, I now know myself better than I ever have before. I trust myself more than I ever have before. I feel clearer about who I am & what I’m here to do. I’m kinder & more compassionate with myself than I’ve ever been.

All in all, I’d give life 10/10 stars! ⭐️ It certainly hasn’t always been EASY, but it’s absolutely been worth the ride.

I’m so grateful to God for this gift of my LIFE. I’m grateful for my health & safety and I’m grateful for the people who choose to know me, love me & support me. I LOVE being human, I LOVE being ALIVE & I’m so GRATEFUL that there’s no one else in the world I’d rather be. ❤️

Lost & Found Marrakech is so much more than seeing a beautiful country on the other side of the world.

Yes, Marrakech is a BREATHTAKING visual backdrop but the truth is…I’ve traveled to many beautiful places around the world. But few of them offered the deep level of awakening, transformation & healing that I experienced in Morocco.

Marrakech expanded how I viewed myself as a woman, it changed my core desires & it showed me how I was capable of so much MORE than I’d ever realized. It reorganized the plans I had for my life & made me start craving things I never even knew I wanted.

It made me slow down, get quiet & really question the DEMANDS I’d placed on my life & examine how I was spending my time. It showed me how to honor my body in new ways & helped me see how so much of what I’d been taught about my womanhood wasn’t actually “truth”, but cultural bulls**t.

It transported me back to the whimsy of my childhood & reminded me of the JOY of savoring life again…in many ways, for the first time.

It expanded my palette & made me fall in love w/ foods I thought I hated. It showed me where I’d unknowingly limited myself to small dreams & where I’d become attached to things simply because I’d been TOLD to want them.

It allowed me to reflect on my life story in a completely foreign environment, to celebrate HOW FAR I’ve come & to get radically honest about how I want to use whatever time I have left on this earth.

And most importantly, it helped me uncover beautiful new parts of myself I’d yet to discover & revive dead parts of me I thought I’d lost forever.

I love hosting this retreat b/c it’s both a renewal & a revival—a chance to come back home to yourself, hit refresh, recommit & belong to YOU again.

And it’s the core, THIS is the work of being fully sovereign & living unapologetically. Except instead of doing the work behind a computer, we’re making it come ALIVE in real life, out in the world, in Morocco.

STEP #1: Figure out the unique things it's made of. What brings you alive? What enraptures you? What envelopes you? What delights you? What repulses you? What piques your curiosity? GET CLEAR ABOUT WHAT TURNS YOU ON. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

STEP #2: Once you're clear, GO DO IT. You don't have to burn your life to the ground to start (though that way works too!!), but be clear—soul fires need to be maintained & tended to every single day. The more you fan the flame…the more you keep it lit. 😉⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Creating & living a life that matters is actually quite simple: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

And once you know how to TRUST YOURSELF, trusting others naturally comes as an extension because you’re no longer depending on them to do something for you that you should be doing for yourself.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
