Timothy Caroll Burney, 77, of Kennesaw, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly following a brief illness on May 27, 2026, surrounded by love. We are heartbroken by his loss.

Tim was a beloved husband, friend, artist, photographer, designer, and creative visionary whose life was marked by a deep appreciation for beauty, creativity, and the people he loved. As the founder and creative force behind Timothy B Designs and Visual Sense Design, he earned a reputation for his distinctive artistic eye and his ability to transform everyday objects and moments into extraordinary works of art. His creations found homes in private collections, businesses, and interiors throughout the United States and abroad.

Gifted with a remarkable sense of design and composition, Tim approached life as he approached his art—with curiosity, imagination, and purpose. He had a unique ability to see beauty where others might not and shared that gift generously with those around him.

Above all, Tim was devoted to his family and to the love of his life, Catherine "Cathy" Ermel Burney. Tim and Cathy met in 1976 and built a life together filled with love, creativity, adventure, laughter, and unwavering devotion. After sharing more than three decades together, they were married in April 2010, celebrating a partnership that spanned nearly fifty years. Cathy was his greatest supporter, closest companion, and constant source of love and encouragement.

Those who knew Tim will remember his kindness, gentle spirit, thoughtful nature, and quiet sense of humor. He was a man who inspired others not only through his artistic talents but through his generosity, encouragement, and genuine interest in people.

A devoted animal lover, Tim had a special place in his heart for his dogs. He deeply mourned the loss of his beloved Sydney several months ago and recently opened his heart to a new rescue dog, Bella, who quickly became a cherished companion. Those who knew Tim understood the joy, comfort, and unconditional love his dogs brought to both him and Cathy.

Tim leaves behind a remarkable legacy of creativity, beauty, and connection. Through his artwork, photography, and the unforgettable showrooms he brought to life at AmericasMart Atlanta, High Point Market, Dallas Market Center, Las Vegas Market, and ADAC Atlanta, he inspired countless people and formed friendships that spanned the globe. Yet those who knew him best will remember not only what he created, but how he made others feel—welcomed, valued, encouraged, and loved. His artistic vision, generous spirit, and enduring friendships will continue to influence and inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Cathy, along with family members, friends, colleagues, clients, and countless admirers of his work. His memory will be treasured, and his absence deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.

Many have asked how they can help. Tim's creative work provided income that helped support their household, and his unexpected passing has left Cathy facing significant financial challenges during an already difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a GoFundMe established in Cathy's honor. The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, support, and generosity.

Why does Israel matter?

Did you know that the time clock of the return of Jesus Christ isn’t based on America’s timeline? It’s based on what is happening in Israel.

Did you know Jesus wasn’t a “Christian” ? He was a Jew. He celebrated and kept the Jewish holy days and customs, as well as the feasts of the LORD. He didn’t come to eradicate the Torah and writing of the Prophets / Old Testament. He came to fulfill the prophecies that were written in them.

When Jesus returns, He isn’t returning to the United States. The Bible says He is going to plant His foot down on the Mount of Olives and go through the Eastern Gate, which is currently sealed off with 16 feet of concrete. A cemetery was also placed in front of that gate because touching the dead makes a Jew considered unclean and unable to enter the Temple, which is considered Holy. The Word of GOD says He will return there and from there He will rule and reign for 1,000 years.

The final battle isn’t going to be on U.S. soil. It’s going to be in the Valley of Megiddo, in Israel. The Bible says as the nations wage war against Israel Jesus will come and destroy His enemies with the breath of His mouth. 2 Thess 2:8

GOD did not replace the Jews with Christians as some believe. We are actually grafted in with them as you would graft a wild branch into an existing tree.

The Word of GOD says, “When you touch Israel, you touch the Apple of GOD’s eye.” Zechariah 2:8

“He that keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. The LORD is thy keeper.” Psalm 121:4

“I will bless those that bless you and I will curse those that curse you.” Genesis 12:3

We are also commanded to pray for the peace of Jerusalem in Psalm 122.

ISRAEL matters. 🇮🇱

Happiest of Mother’s Day to my beautiful Mom whom I love so very much! I owe everything to YOU! Your constant love and support means so much to me and my family. Thank you for everything you have done for me and my family and setting the most beautiful example of what a Mother’s love truly is. The first picture was taken 21 years ago on Mother’s Day. The second picture was taken today. 92 years and going strong! I hope I will be so lucky to live vibrantly that long! I love you Mom!!!❤️❤️❤️
