Meet Heather Arthur. When she is not designing spaces that put people first, you will find her fueling up with her morning coffee, a ritual we are starting to think might be a Hendrick requirement.

Heather joined the team bringing curiosity, a love of collaboration, and a passion for design that is as functional as it is beautiful. Swipe through to get to know her a little better.

Our very own Stephen Wells will take the stage at the Sunon Global Summit 2026 in Hangzhou, China, to share what is actually working in workplace design right now.

His session will focus on experiential workplace design strategies in the U.S. that are driving stronger return-to-office outcomes and delivering measurable ROI for clients.

It is a conversation that reflects how Hendrick approaches every project, at the intersection of people, performance, and the spaces that bring them together.

We are proud to have Stephen representing Hendrick on a global stage.

"Feeling incredibly excited to be part of the Shaw Contracts DesignED this year. It’s such a great opportunity to learn and connect with inspiring people in the design community. I’m truly grateful for the experience and everything it’s already teaching me, all while making some new friends!"

We are so proud of one of our Junior Designers, Lily Peelman, who was selected to participate in Shaw Contract's DesignED program this year.

DesignED is an incredible opportunity designed to support rising talent in the industry through professional development, CEUs, sustainability education, manufacturing tours, and hands-on learning experiences.

And it sounds like she is making quite the impression:

"We have been having the best time so far in DesignED with Lily. She took the group by storm and jumped in headfirst. It has been awesome to watch." Nicole Lankford, Account Executive, Shaw Contract

That is exactly the kind of energy that makes us proud to call her part of the Hendrick team. We cannot wait to see what she takes away from this experience.

For Earth Week we sat down with two members of the Hendrick team to talk about what sustainability really means when it is built into every decision from day one.

Jake Boomhouwer, Principal of Design Intelligence, and Andrew Pletcher, Senior Director, share how Hendrick's Life-Centered Design framework guides their approach to sustainable design across every sector and every project type.

Designing for people and the planet is not something we save for one day a year. It is central to how we approach every project, every decision, and every client relationship.

This Earth Day, we are taking a moment to celebrate that commitment alongside the team that makes it possible every single day.

We are also joining and firms around the world in wearing green today. Proud to be part of a network that shares our values.

At Hendrick, sustainability is not a checkbox or a certification, it is a natural extension of how we approach every project. Our Life-Centered Design approach is rooted in the belief that the spaces we create should support the health and wellbeing of the people who use them, the communities that surround them, and the planet we all share.

This Earth Week, we want to start a conversation. We will be sharing what that commitment looks like in our work. We also want to hear from you.

What does designing for people and the planet mean to you?

Masters week called for some friendly competition and team bonding!

Last week while the pros played Augusta, we built our own putt-putt course right here in our temporary office, resourcefulness is kind of our thing.

A big thank you to our incredible partners who made it all happen: Leapley Construction for bringing the energy and prizes, and Mannington Commercial for the hospitality, food, and a preview of some newer products!

Big changes are officially underway at Hendrick!

We’re excited to pull back the curtain and share a behind-the-scenes look at our office renovation, an evolution rooted in design innovation, environmental responsibility, and creating a healthy, inspiring workplace for everyone.

Over the next several weeks, we’ll be sharing snapshots of the transformation — from demolition to construction and everything in between — as we thoughtfully reimagine our space to better support how we work, connect, and thrive.

We had the opportunity to visit Montgomery for the dedication of the Equal Justice Initiative’s legacy site, Montgomery Square.

Spending time in the space, what stands out is the restraint. The way architecture, landscape, and material choices work together to support the experience without overwhelming it. Each element feels intentional, creating a setting that allows the story to remain at the forefront.

From the treatment of the ground plane to the alignment of key moments within the site, the design reflects a careful balance of presence and quietness. It’s a reminder of how powerful spaces can be when they are designed to hold meaning, invite reflection, and support something larger than themselves.

We are grateful for the opportunity to experience it and to support the important work of the Equal Justice Initiative.

Nothing tells a better story than an adaptive reuse project, except when it is paired with original architectural sketches.

Hendrick and our ONE Global Design partners are bringing you both as we reveal the findings of internal and external studies on this crucial breed of design. We will share approaches and best practices developed over decades of experience that can support the most dramatic changes in the built environment. How do you turn a former big box retailer into a life science lab? Or a multi-family project into senior living? An old warehouse space into a Client Experience Center?

We will show how our teams transform these facilities into vibrant new solutions through comprehensive evaluations of economic feasibility, market dynamics, and community needs, all visualized through the most intimate illustrations: hand drawings.

This series offers a glimpse into the mind of an architect, always creating and always evidence-based.

Grateful to be featured in The Business of Furniture for our work with Mag Mutual.

This project reflects a thoughtful shift in how the workplace can support people, culture, and flexibility. Grounded in research and shaped by employee needs, the new Atlanta headquarters was designed as a hospitality-forward, activity-based environment that encourages connection, supports well-being, and creates greater choice throughout the day.

We’re proud to continue our long-standing partnership with Mag Mutual and appreciate the opportunity to see this work recognized.
