Custom designs are available, and almost any idea can be created on a globe! Consider the World was created by Emily Tuttle in 2016. The name Consider the World comes from the first verse of the hymn How Great Thou Art. The lyrics, "consider all the worlds Thy hands have made," encourage us to worship God when we witness his creation. One of the goals of Consider the World is to help people consid
er the world in the way they live. Part of the proceeds from the sale of these globes go to refugee relief in Iraq and Syria through Preemptive Love Coalition. Although the refugee crisis is no longer the top story on most news stations, it is still very much happening, and help is still needed. There are many organizations doing great work, and one of them is called the Preemptive Love Coalition. Preemptive Love believes loving people radically in zones of conflict in the world can change things. They define themselves as "a global movement of peacemakers changing the way we engage the world’s most polarizing conflicts by confronting fear with acts of love." They provide heart surgeries, education, peacemaking, and emergency relief to families living in or fleeing from conflict zones. Many of these people cannot get access to medical care, education, or basic necessities because their cities are controlled by ISIS, so Preemptive Love goes to them. So for the foreseeable future, a portion of the proceeds from the sales of Consider the World will be donated to Preemptive Love to help provide for people in conflict zones. Hopefully fewer of them will be forced to flee their homes and become refugees if someone meets them where they are with love and a helping hand.
