I've been thinking about traveling a lot lately ... Mostly how i used to do a lot of it and how i've been at a full ground stop for 2 years running. It's a bummer; I miss seeing new people, places and things, and, yeah, I know; I'm preaching to the choir. ...

Well, one of my favorite trips was to Monaco ... Y'all, that place is just magical. You're just you, and then you're there, and BAM, you're a princess! ... Well, I mean, *I* am, at least! 👸🏻 🏰

The color we painted this vanity reminds me of the sea off the coast there — a deep blue-green that invites you in and promises you a life of fun in the sun. The sweet little sconces are like little suns or moons hovering overhead...
I think it's beautiful, and I hope you do, too! 💙💚

Also, this got really long, and I definitely need a vacation! 😂 🏝️

Lord, y'all, it's been so long since my last post! Last year was just a blur from start till, like, two weeks ago. ... BUT, i've been busy getting some proper photography taken by the ever-amazing so I can share all the things that have kept me from you! Case in point: this amazing kelly-green-inspired living room! B&W + green is one of my favorite combos. It's crisp, clean and just super sharp. Plus, this sunshiney room reminds me of Spring and the assurance i will not be freezing my butt off for forever!

Hi, Y'all! Happy Sunday! ... Not sure where the past few weeks have gone, but way back then in mid-March, we had a big de-gloomifying installation full of gorgeous window treatments, wallpaper and paint! It was absolutely amazing and such a transformation ... People — and i am speaking directly to builders right now — please, for the love of kittens, STOP making everything from the floor to ceiling mortuary grey! Please. It's soul sucking! ... Wait. BUT, then again, it's also job security, soooo ... 🤔
ANYWAY, I snapped a couple shots i will share this week, starting with this lovely study in color and texture. it's just beautiful, innit?? 💙💙💛💛

Ugh ... Believe it or not, one of my resolutions this year was to be better about social media posting. Yet, here we are at March 4 (FOURTH! HOW?!), and I haven’t posted a damn thing! ... the important thing is that i have been busy, so yay!
I will do better though — PROMISE! So, to start, i thought i’d share a couple progress shots of an en suite bath we’ve been working on. ... Isn’t that just the prettiest not-quite-blue-not-quite-teal goldilocks of a vanity color?? 💙💙

Hi, y'all! Long time no post! I thought i'd come up for air for a hot minute to share a pict of this sweetly reborn vintage dresser we just delivered to a client today. You know i love some vintage goodness, but some pieces have lived a rough life and are just too mangled to use au naturel. ... So, what do we do? Bin it? No way! Give 'er a cute new outfit, and she's off to a happy home with a new lease on life!

Y’all, I’m kinda in love with some new clients. First of all, they’re super fun — lots of banter and laughter (5⭐️ bonus there); second, they want their home to be fun and drama and **color**, and I’m like, “ummm, YAHHH!” … but this — THIS — is I just think they’re the best: the husband sneak-texted me during our consultation at their new home about surprising his lovely wife with a **FABULOUS** lady closet! 👗👠👡👛👒 … How sweet is that?! … No spoilers — it’s already been presented, so I can write about it now. 😁 … This is the design she chose. Glamtastic-n-sexy, huh?? She was so thrilled. Gesturing at the rendering, she said “THIS is me. … But how? You don’t really know me, but you GOT me!” … Seriously, y’all, no greater compliment! I just told her it’s my gift … It’s said that the women in my family have been known to “know things”. Maybe that's it? Maybe it is; maybe not, but I like to think that I’m pretty good at nailing it … 😎

The smile factor is a huge success barometer for me with my designs. I like to pull it all together and then let it sit and marinate for a little while. When I come back, if it doesn’t put a smile on my face, I know something’s missing. Sometimes, though, it all comes together like coconut & rum 🍹💥💚… Like this recent master bath concept. I mean, I just *love it* … the saturated green tile, that coral shower floor tile, the gold fixtures playing off the thorns in the cactus wallpaper … GAH! Wouldn’t this be an amazing space to walk into every morning?? 😍💚💚💚 @ Atlanta, Georgia

I don’t know about y’all, but I’ve been spending a LOT of time in my kitchen lately. And, I mean, I love to cook and all, but dang I’m starting to really miss paying someone to bring me food whilst I sit prettily in a cute outfit, sipping an amazing cocktail by Atlanta’s latest nominee (best bar program -- congrats, btw, guys!!) … … i miss that ... soon enough though! …

ANYWAY! I digress … KITCHENS! Before the quarantine hit, we were able to have this kitchen remodel photographed by the amazing duo that is Djaren Photography and I’m finally getting around to posting the photos. (Big props to Djaren for coming out on an epically nasty day, BTW). The teeny tiny kitchen in this ‘50s ranch was so outdated and entirely unsuited for a single dad with two teens, so we took down some dividing walls and opened up the kitchen to the living/dining areas. Swipe to see the before, and I’m pretty sure you’ll agree! To keep costs down, we went with Semihandmade cabinets fronts on boxes, and of course that generous island just makes life better in general. 😎
