I realize why I am so driven to share the smile of a rose with others. It is largely because of my lovedones and other acquaintances lost as victims to Cancer. In honor of my motherin-law, Norma McDonald; my Niece, Ainia; my sister-in-law, Vivia; another niece, Moya, including my biological father, Charles Mellers, who lost his battle with prostate cancer, I have decided to turn the agonizing frowns that I would, often times, see on their faces, down side up to transform into a rosy smile. The best way, I decided, was to capture that smile into ceramics. Only a divine Rose can articulate such a smile. I opened a chapter in my life where I was making a rose for every cancer survivor I came across. With the inflated cost of mailing roses across the United States, I was forced to temporarily abstain my efforts from contining that process. In the meanwhil, I have diverted to selling beautiful creations of roses, in order to continue to fund this project The demonstrated images are only a few of my creations..
