Birthday Recap

The first person I saw on my birthday came all the way from Florida… just to see me.

My nephew walked in with flowers, a slice of red velvet cake, a card, and a “Happy Anniversary” balloon… because it was cheaper than the birthday one 😄

My nephews cooked me breakfast, we laughed, talked, napped, and took our time with the day.

Then I ended it learning Spanish with my neighbor while teaching her English…so yeah, my birthday turned into a whole cultural exchange 😄

Both are normal. In those moments, my role is not just design. It is helping families organize memories, photos, and words into something meaningful. If an obituary is designed well enough and handled with enough care, it stops being a "disposable" piece of paper and starts being a keepsake.
