Ive always been working with my hands, whether it was tinkering with motorcycles or, as I grew older, a bar for my college dorm room. Over the years the idea of converting a horse trailer into a bar, coffee shop, point of sale, whatever..... kept popping into my mind. This winter I decided to give it a try and wha-la! I Got Milk! The trailer has been totally refurbished from the frame up. The metal sides were removed exposing the hard pine siding which I decided to keep and stain “Cabernet”! On a whim I decided to expose the wood on the left side which makes the trailer more inviting. All of the lighting in the trailer is 12v LED and is run by a converter. There are also two 20amp circuits in the trailer. It is literally “plug and play”. Plug the main line into the wall or quite generator and your ready to go. I wanted the trailer to “beckon” people to come check it out so I designed and hand crafted a big ole arrow pointing at the front of the trailer. Inside the arrow are 24 white LED lights which are run from a switch inside the trailer.
So it was my intention to rent the trailer but I found my niche might be in building them. I think its more fun too! I get to create different stuff all the time. Sure, the basics are the same when taking the trailer apart, but each new trailer is different. Because people were showing so much interest in the trailers I decided to advertise them, and the response has been great. I sold the grey trailer in one day, im finishing up the white trailer which is sold already, and in the beginning stages of another, with two trailers in the planning stages.
So what does it take to build a I Got Milk! trailer. Well not much... Please contact Bob Christian at 470-228-1911, personal message him on Facebook, or email at [email protected]. He will send over a guide to building your trailer and what's included in the basic package.
