Specializing in residential interiors, furniture design, space planning, staging and restyling, Jennifer Orne is an entrepreneur extraordinaire. She has over ten years experience in the architecture related interior design world. Having worked with several notable architecture firms in Washington, DC and Atlanta, GA she continues her work in California. She has collaborated on many major design pr
ojects with URS, Surber, Barber, Choate and Hertlein Architects, Nancy Braithwaite Interiors and Billy Roberts Design. Attending fine art school during her primary and secondary education, Jennifer knew that art would be her life at an early age. "I have a collection of floor plans from when I was four years old that I drew of every house I entered. I would memorize the layout of my friendsโ homes, draw them, dream about them, and think of ways to improve them. I always knew I was meant to be a designer and have always loved interior design, architecture, fashion and anything that relates to art." Encouraged by her parents to pursue what she loved, she studied interior design at The University of Georgia and spent a summer inspired by the beauty of Italy and learning how to paint. A later internship spent in St. Thomas, USVI working for notable architect, Brian Emerich, would be her first foray into architectural rendering as a professional. Later, moving to Washington DC, she continued her architectural pursuits under the wing of yet another famous architect, Richard Giegengack, where she refined her architectural drawing techniques and cultivated her taste for classicism. After several formative experiences abroad, Jennifer returned to her roots in Atlanta, Georgia working for the very famous and talented Nancy Braithwaite where she created a line of furniture and assisted on several major high-end projects. Finally working with Billy Roberts a powerfully creative designer who inspired me tremendously. "They were all wonderful mentors to me who constantly cultivated my style and taste. Working with Billy Roberts is very meaningful as well because of his undeniable prodigal talents that always impress me. I have worked with an array of clients that have spoiled me with the opportunity of doing what I love. I will continue to be inspired by all that is beautiful in life!"
Jennifer now lives in San Francisco, California as a freelance consultant and is currently taking new clients.
