who’s gonna tell 16 year old book-obsessed emily she just gave her art to John Green?! 🥹✨
an equal honor for 26 yr old emily - you can put “they were as good a work of art I’ve ever encountered in my life…and they’re cookies” (see slide 6!) on my gravestone jeez 😭
I made cookies for john back almost a decade ago on his turtles all the way down tour (see slide 7) but dreamed of getting to tell him directly how much his art means to me and the world!! the fault in our stars was one of the first things I became a fangirl over, which has shaped sooo much of what I do now to celebrate artists and fans. creating these for hollywood, ending just felt right.
thank you john for being, as you said “one rare and important someone to received my art with generosity and care.” 🫶🏼
