For the people who always need to “see both sides” or “hear the full story” before you believe what a black woman tells you the first time… you’re a part of the problem with society.
It’s really a shame how people immediately made the assumption on my last post, that I must’ve been belligerent, threatening or nasty to the cashier, to justify having the police called.
There was no threats, no name calling, no lewd behavior….. just me standing there unapologetically asking for what I was entitled to as a paying customer.
The level of hate and judgement that arises when a black woman takes a stance to defend herself, is exceedingly alarming.
Chain of events prior to my recording:
1️⃣ I presented my receipt & the product
2️⃣ I was denied a refund/credit outright b/c it was more than 30 days
3️⃣ I asked to speak to a manager
4️⃣ I was told there was no manager present
5️⃣ I requested to speak to anyone else with authority to facilitate my refund
6️⃣ The cashier was offended and allowed her ego to take over
7️⃣ The cashier called the manager on the phone & the manager attempted to unjustifiably offer me a partial refund w/o an explanation
8️⃣ I denied the offer & insisted on my full refund
9️⃣ The police was called & I started recording.
I got a full refund & left peacefully. I didn’t deserve to be mistreated & anyone that thinks otherwise s/b ashamed of themselves.
