In our Embroidery 102 – Hand Embroidery on Denim class is all about turning everyday denim into something new.

In this class, you’ll bring in your own denim—jeans, a jacket, or a shirt—and learn how to thoughtfully plan and stitch a design directly onto a garment. Sarah will guide you through choosing the right design and choosing stitches that actually work well on denim.

You’ll learn how to:
✔️ Transfer embroidery patterns onto denim
✔️ Choose stitches that suit both fabric & design
✔️ Place designs so they look intentional, not random
✔️ Learn various embroidery stitches

You only need to bring your denim and your creativity. You’ll leave with a piece you stitched yourself.

Ready to unlock "Pro-Mode" of seam finishing? ⚡

If you’ve been sticking to a standard zig-zag stitch to finish your seams, it’s time to level up! Come get to know the serger in our Intro to Sergers class. It's the strange looking machine with four spools of thread that trims and overlocks the edges of your fabric in one go for a clean, polished finish.

Threading a serger might have the reputation of being super scary, but in our Intro to Sergers class, Aaronica will demystify the machine and show you how you can turn those four threads into your new best friends.

In this hands-on deep dive, you’ll learn:

Threading: you'll learn to thread all four spools and loopers until you can do it with your eyes closed.

Tension & Differential Feed: Learn how to handle knits without waves and wovens without puckers.

Serging: How to finish your garments so the inside looks just as good as the outside.

Troubleshooting: What to do when things go loopy (and how to fix it.)

No project to bring, no materials to buy, just show up and get hands-on with our studio machines. You’ll leave with a stack of practice scraps and the confidence to finally use a serger sitting in your sewing room (or the one you’ve been eyeing!).
