I'd like to invite you to my unique and intriguing solo show at Project Space Gallery AS220, located at 93 Mathewson St, Providence, RI. Join us for the opening on May 4, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
Next door, the very talented artist Masha Ruskin will showcase her work, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. Simultaneously, AS220's Main Stage and Gallery, at 115 Empire st , just a short walk away, will host another opening.
AS220 is renowned for its unconventional approach; the galleries’ exhibits are always compelling. I will be displaying my 3D paintings, couple sculptures, and an installation titled "Wishing Tree." I'm also excited to see what Masha has prepared.
So, make your wish, come to my exhibition, place it on the Wishing Tree, and may the 4th be with you!

"Beyond time everything is One. The Big Bang broke existence into pieces, and we became carriers of combinations of energies and matter. Art is a source of sacred knowledge. It helps me collect pieces of that big puzzle. My artistic universe is connected with the philosophy of the world through shamanism and cosmogenism. When artists were healers and shamans, their creations had meaning and power. I believe in artosomatics - the power of art to create wholeness and healing. My artistic experiment finds its place in the diversity of metamodernism. Working in an interdisciplinary field, I make materials work with ideas. My sculptures have colors, density and transparency. Paintings are often made of multiple layers of epoxy or plexiglas to create depth in layers of colors, or built from multiple canvases to simulate a puzzle effect. Light is important in my artwork. I use it as a symbol for the soul. My works are usually based on a symbol or metaphor and carry a coded message. Everything you see and hear in reality or imagination is related to you in the past, present or future. Therefore, if you are looking at my art - it is about you." - Vesna Longton
