Almost 20 years ago, I started this journey not fully knowing where it would lead, just a love for creating spaces that feel like home.

Coming across this old feature still feels surreal. This project meant so much to me… an eco-friendly renovation rooted in intention, simplicity, and heart.

Grateful for how far it’s all come, and for everything still ahead.

There’s something incredibly powerful about restraint.

For this serene bedroom retreat in Carlsbad, we embraced a tone-on-tone neutral palette layered with rich, tactile textures to create depth without noise. Soft woven textiles, tailored upholstery, and subtle variations of warm ivory and sand come together in a way that feels effortless — yet entirely intentional.

Above, a sculptural golden metal chandelier floats like jewelry in the space, adding just the right touch of warmth and refinement.

This retreat is all about restraint. Warm wood, heavy linen, soft neutrals, and then that sculptural light overhead wears the crown. I like when a room feels calm but not flat. Collected but not cluttered. Elevated but still livable.

High-end, to me, isn’t about more. It’s about intention. Every texture matters. Every contrast has a reason.This is the kind of bedroom that lets you exhale.

I love when a little corner comes together through texture alone. The warmth of this wood chest, the soft ribbing on the vintage lamp, the movement in Allison Gregory’s art, and the cozy layers on the bed—they all play off each other in such an easy, comfortable way.

For this project, we wanted the stairs to feel like a quiet moment of discovery. The handcrafted green tiles bring a subtle, organic texture that shifts with the light, while the dark railing grounds it all with a touch of modern edge.
