It’s terrifying for a client to hand us full creative control but really rewarding for us when we sit and do the whole presentation and they’re like “YOU GET US! Goals!! Definitely this mudroom of our clients in Bergen County: pretty floors, pretty ceiling, pretty lights pretty everything! And you can’t leave the house without an absolutely gigantic, oversized antique mirror to peek at, natch!! Lockers for everyone. Place for everything and everything in its place! And beautiful to boot a la dD style OFCOURSE ✨

I’ve definitely run a quieter race the last 3 years. Although that comment seems absurd knowing we’ve had year over year growth, a 3k sq ft studio space, panels/podcasts/sourcing trips to Europe, brand collabs, and the launch of , all in 2.5 years lol. But zero PR, no marketing, no giant team no big scaling, no big ads no chasing because I simply was too busy. In the “thick” as they say. Lucky enough to ride referrals and a great reputation and build on my own terms. As fellow mama entrepreneurs though, you know the kids start to hit school or some sort of recurring childcare, they start putting on their own clothes, feeding themselves and you realize “ok, we’re ready to turn back on the savage ambition now”. I’m convinced children slow you down to speed you up to your biggest dreams. Very clear and laser focused on the next 2-3 years because they are now very much watching and very much aware of where mommy goes, how hard she works, and the kind of women I want them to be (to be clear: savages) I feel like I’m about to get as annoying as I was 6 years ago showing up on IG stories at 6am pre-BNI with just a WATER in my hand like “who needs caffeine when we have neTwoRKinG!!”

God I was obnoxious.
