So, as some of you may have seen, there is a gentleman out there posting all kinds of crazy stuff about Amado and I. The story keeps changing, but so far I've heard we damaged a floor he ripped up after completion, that we didn't replace the proper joists when it went from 2 to four to now apparently up to 6? I'm not sure. He also is posting pics prior to us ever being on site and saying it is work we did or didn't do.Things kept changing once on site as well. We honestly should've politely bowed out before day one ended due to how he was behaving/treating us. This was an absolute lesson learned.
But for the sake of clarity, I am posting pics and the complete Convo. There are two blurred spots as those are this gentleman's personal address and phone number. Everything else is clear as day. If the job wasn't completed, done incorrectly and all the other things that are floating around, why in the world would he accept an invoice and pay it? He then turned around and messaged me in the middle of the night and then also open a dispute with PayPal? I was told he reported it as an item not shipped and am currently in contact with PayPal to sort all this out. This whole situation is unique and bizarre.
Either way, those that know us or have worked with us know we are NOT what this man is making us out to be so I'm not worried. But I will give full disclosure so you can see what transpired. The floor was completed and correctly so. I'm not sure if this gentleman is having financial issues (he paid partially in change for the cash portion on the invoice.) or what the cause of all this is, but here is what transpired via messenger and photos of the complete floor PRIOR to this man ripping it up.
Sisters were discussed in person, as he wanted us to put them anywhere the seams of the subfloor didn't meet in the middle of a joist, understandably. All joints were placed to meet in the middle of the joists. No discussion took place when booked nor was the labor ever formally added to the work list. We would've happily placed them wherever he wanted the extra support if he had clearly and decisively told us what he wanted. He instead waited until we had approx an hour left on the site to come in and go off. He spent the day sleeping and had very little contact until approx two hours before we left. We relied on the direction given to us the prior day. He also says we were short and rude to him from the get go. That is completely false.
We were working on laying LVP which would've concluded the job. Nothing was mentioned prior about anything being wrong or off. He expected us to rip up the floor for him to tell us where he wanted them, add them at his discretion and relay it free of charge.
I don't want to speculate or participate in a back and forth. Here are the facts that we can provide. Some had to be added as comments as I could only put 80 up in the post.
I honestly don't know what to make of all this. We've never had it happen before. 🤷
