One would never know this was handoainted to look like an antique chest. New furniture stained, glazed and distressed to add character to a pair of new reproduction chests. Then hand waxed for that perfect patina.

Another view from this amazing project. Boiserie paneled walls were glazed then accented with gold leaf. All of the moldings were first painted in a red clay color, which enriches the burnished gold leaf. Everything was then hand waxed to achieve the perfect patina 🙌

Timeless design along with timeless decorative finishes. I’m so happy to have been a part of this amazing project. This original piece is made to order, of solid wood construction and hand painted by Donna Roppolo, owner . Traditional techniques embellish the Florentine inspired backdrop. Gilded accents have been hand rubbed and waxed to provide the perfect patina! ✨
