Louisiana has two wedding seasons, spring and fall. During those months we are ankle deep in petals behind towers of flower presses. The summer is when we ramp up production. Less time-sensitive fresh bouquets are coming in the door so it’s full steam ahead on production. We have our noses to the grindstone and these are a few of the beauties we have finished lately.
If you drive by and see the lights on in the production studio past 8pm, this is why 😆 we are trying to decrease that turnaround time! 💪

For the curious wanderers with pockets full of finds.

The newest arrivals at The Nature Mercantile at Roots were chosen for people who can’t walk past an interesting leaf, feather, flower, or tiny treasure without stopping for a closer look.

I attended my first workshop at Roots today, and I may be a little biased, but it was so much fun! Sandra with Sandra Landry hosted a flower arranging course. We learned multiple design techniques and styles and then Sandra walked us through the bouquet making process flower by flower, together. It was so neat to see everyone’s creativity and we all went home with beautiful bouquets that we were proud of.
If you’d like to come to flower arranging in the fall let us know and we will hold another class.
